Genesis Housing Association

Genesis Housing Association freed up 285 desks and projects around £1M a year in savings after moving to flexible working.

Background

Genesis is one of the UK's leading housing associations, providing homes for more than 100,000 people. It wanted flexible working when moving to new office locations.

Challenge

Genesis needed a resource booking system built on familiar Outlook processes, rolled out as the standard across the whole organisation, including outlying offices.

Solution

Genesis implemented Resource Central, delivered by Add-On's UK partner Essential Computing, with custom-designed room panels and kiosks plus an induction service for staff.

Result

285 desks freed up across 430 hot desks and 26 meeting rooms, with projected savings of around £1M a year. Facilities managers see how resources are used, so unbooked rooms are not heated, which also reduces the carbon footprint.

“We worked closely with Genesis to ensure their room panels and kiosks were pleasing to the eye, easy to navigate and that they reflected their new cutting-edge office design and colours.”
